The Goodland Cowboys football team clinched the 4A District 16 football title on Friday, October 25 with a 43-0 win over the Concordia Panthers. It’s the Cowboys first district title since 2004 and their first under head coach Kent Teeter. With the win, Goodland clinches their third playoff berth in the last four seasons after missing the playoffs last year. The 43 points scored in the victory are the most against the Concordia Panthers in the brief series history, as the Cowboys evened the all-time series at 3-3. Goodland will close the regular season on Halloween night at the Colby Eagles before hosting the first round playoff game on Tuesday, November 5 at Cowboys Stadium.
